Bonding

Moshe and LevWe find ourselves alone with Moshe for the first time. Both our parents drove from Minneapolis and arrived a few days after the birth. It was great to have them here, especially since we didn’t have to worry about cleaning or cooking, and had several available hands to take Mosh when we needed a break! Just the three of us spending time together has been more work, but I do feel we are getting to know each other better. Of course, I need to head back to work next week, which is when it will really start to get interesting.

Little Master

CIMG3072.JPGThere is a new master of the house.  And he resembles Yoda in more than one way.  Even the slightest squirm sends an army of otherwise rational, calm, and collected adults into a frenzy of activity trying to deduce what, exactly, Moshe wants. Full disclosure, I am not excluded from this group, and am even, at times, the first by his side! I kind of enjoy the game of trying to figure out what his various cries mean. Is he hungry, tired, cold, hot, bored??? That is of course, when it’s not 3 in the morning.

Sleep, poop, eat

IMG_6038.JPGThat about sums up the first 10 days. We had both sets of grandparents in town until today, when the Franks left. Grandma was also in townfor the long weekend and left today as well. Now it’s just my parents and the three of us. Other than being tired, we are all doing great. Moshe got his first baby acne, but is otherwise perfect.

Hello world!

Well, I’ve finally launched an actual blog. I’ve spent a lot of time the past couple of years convincing some of my clients to start and run their own blogs (for good reason’s I believe ;), but have yet to jump on the horse for several reasons, laziness being the biggest one!

It’s taken the imminent arrival of junior to spur me into action. Hopefully Marti will join the cause as well.
